This sunflower was designed for a group of beginners, but has some nice challenging details for more experienced painters. The surface is cut from a sheet of 100% cotton canvas, then rolled at the top to form a pocket. An old, long-handled paintbrush was used for the dowel and a beaded macrame cord is the hanger. Fun and easy!

Paint this rustic salt crock and proud American flag in watercolors. I love patriotic subjects and still life painting, so they are combined in this design. The colors pop with the application of a very dark and dramatic background. The leaves and berries add extra interest and help to soften and give balance to the hard surfaces of the crocks. Intermediate Level.

I recommend Grumbacher's Finest Watercolors and Loew- Cornell La Corneille Golden Taklon Watercolor brushes. 

This two story log cabin is painted in acrylic washes. Burnt Umber floats simulate antiquing medium. The heart is surounded by a sponged faux finish. Fun and easy to paint. Instructions, pattern and two photos included.
